Today also remembering Bryan Gregory, founding member and guitarist for The Cramps and born on the 20th February 1951.
Bryan shares a birthday with Poison Ivy and he would be 63 today.

ηταν μια μερα, φετος το φθινοπωρο; την περασμενη ανοιξη;
φετος τον οκτωβρη. μου φαινεται αιωνες μακρια εκεινη η μερα.
ξεκινησαμε με τη ροχυ να παμε να δουμε μια περφορμανς. φυσικα η τσερι αργησε πολυ να ετοιμαστει και πηγαμε την ωρα που τελειωνε.
τωρα που περιμενω τον γαλλικο να γινει, ανοιξα μια παναρχαια καρτελα και ψαχνω για τον Ron Athey.
Που λες, ροχυ, ο ρον ειναι στα 50 του, διαγνωσμενος με HIV απο τα 26 του, μεχρι τα 15 του οι γονεις του δεν τον αφηναν να κοινωνικοποιηθει, ενω πιστευαν οτι ειναι η εκπληρωση καποιας προφητειας, γιατι σαν παιδι μιλουσε περιεργες αγγελικες γλωσσες/γλωσσολαλια.
Κανει λοιπον εκτοτε αυτο το περφορμανς, που με τιποτα δε θεωρω τεχνη η κατι τετοιο αλλα καλα κανει το παιδι, θελοντας να δειξει οτι ειναι ας πουμε ενα living dead body, με το σκεπτικο οτι θα επρεπε να ειναι ηδη νεκρος.
θα δεις 2-3 φωτογραφιες του και μετα θα διαβασεις το ενδιαφερον της ολης υποθεσης και γιατι δεν επρεπε να εχω αργησει εκεινη τη μερα.

"Rozz had first met Ron Athey in 1980 in Claremount at the garage belonging to John Albert's parents, during rehearsals for Christian Death's first live concert. They struck an instant bond and would soon be inseparable as they experienced life to the very limit. Ron recounts that Rozz "was a not-so-sweet 16 and I was 18 (and we) became involved in a love affair that lasted three years. Ours was a volatile relationship that revolved around music, art and monstrous public personas. We were true punk romantics — he pierced my nipple, I tattooed his name on my wrist and slashed his palms open with a straight razor."
....that summer Ron and Rozz were living together in one of the store's back rooms. Bill recalled that "drugs and decadence would regularly occupy Ron and Rozz's room." They would often have an adolescent boy from nearby Ontario around and they would hang him from a rope while "they took turns whipping him between heating their spoons with candles." With Rozz and Ron spending all their time together, they formulated plans for a performance art project which they named Premature Ejaculation.
Ron found a cat by the roadside that had been killed by a car and stored it in the freezer at the record store for two weeks, with the intention of using it for a performance at the Arts Building. This first Premature Ejaculation show was about the physical abuse of animals.Part of the performance involved having a lad tied up and tortured on the floor of the stage, but Ron also infamously took the defrosted cat out from the bag, crucified it and then tore the carcass apart using his hands and his teeth before eating the insides. The smell in the room with the rotting meat was unbearable, especially since Rozz and Ron would occasionally throw some of it into the crowd.
