Death Rock Desert Ghoultown (D.R.D.G.) is a nonprofit free admittance event that does welcome, and appreciate your donations. This event will be promoted, and supported by some small club benefits. 100% of any proceeds will be invested towards supplies needed to provide the entertainment. Any remaining amount will be given to the performers as gratitude. None of the representatives, or entertainers are to expect to be payed. This event will be thrown purely on a volunteer basis. A donation jar will be set up at a local club in the near future, so please keep your eyes open for them.
D.R.D.G. is a unification of all participating Death Rock, and related groups of California, as a means of uniting our local city clans into Death Rock California tribe for...
1. UNITY of all attending and/ or participating members of the sub-genre, having fun in a new unconventional environment, meeting new scary ghoulish faces, and celebrating/ embracing the scene.
2. EXPOSURE of your venue, club, band, DJ services, or otherwise in a new environment.
NO DRAMA WILL BE TOLERATED, AND NO CLICKS WILL BE ACKNOWLEDGED. (Our scene is small and fragile as it is, and Death Rock is NOT a gang. Leave that to mainstream politics. Refer to 1.).
Any Death Rock Group will be welcomed to come camp out for the weekend, and watch live bands, and enjoy DJ sets of your favorite ghoulish tunes out in the October desert setting. Please keep in mind that this will be taking place out in the desert where there will NOT be facilities such as restrooms available. If you are not a campy person, you probably shouldn't come, unless you are prepared to set up alternative means for yourself in the nearest town hotel/ motel/ etc. This event is NOT limited only to Death Rockers. We welcome others who merely enjoy the music to partake as well. If you are in a band and are interested in performing, please join D.R.D.G. on facebook and discuss it with any of the main representatives in your local area. It will be a free event, so you can just show up, and come be apart of something different! If you would like to be a representative your local scene, and it has not been mentioned in our info, please get a hold of another representative listed below and we shall talk. The finalization will be coming shortly. We just need a head count of maybes and what-nots. All info so far is available below.

BATS OVER MILAN - MI DECAY festa per il 5° anniversario!
special dj set by special friends per l'occasione del quinto compleanno del mi-decay vecchi e nuovi amici si alterneranno alla console durante la serata.
Era il 1982 quando nella grigia Manchester, influenzata da una scena jazz funk e poi synth-dance alla New Order e Happy Mondays, nascono gli Inca Babies. Si formano ad Humble, distretto industriale di Manchester, e vengono subito chiamati the "Humble Cramps" per la chiara influenza dei Cramps. Forti sono anche i richiami ai Birthday Party, soprattutto nei primi lavori; a Link Wray, come dimostra la decisione di chiamare "Rumble" il loro primo album; ed ai Gun Club. Rimangono sulla scena per quattro anni, fino a qualche mese dopo l' uscita dell' ultimo disco nel 1987, pubblicando 4 LPs, diversi singoli ed EPs con la Black Lagoon Records. Dal 1983 cominciano ad avere diffusi consensi, grazie anche a John Peel ed al suo produttore John Walters, che credendo nella loro musica, diffondono in radio il loro primo singolo, "The Interior" (1983). Così arrivano numerose richieste per i loro live, di cui uno memorabile nel 1984 all’ Hacienda di Tony Wilson (Factory Records), e nel giro di un anno riescono a suonare ovunque in Inghilterra. Nel 1985, con il debutto del loro primo disco, "Rumble", raggiungono la Top 5 album e il loro nome comincia ad essere famoso anche all' estero. Iniziano così i tours in Europa: Germania, Olanda, Francia, Yugoslavia, Ungheria, Austria a tutta la Scandinavia. Con i loro successivi tre albums "This Train" (1986), "Opium Den" (1986), "Evil Hour" (1987) ed altri sei singoli mantengono la loro popolarità fino a quando, nonostante la devozione di Bill Marten (bass) e Harry Stafford (guitar and later vocals) sempre presenti nella line-up della band per tutto il periodo dal '83 all '87, non trovano più né cantanti e nemmeno batteristi. Dopo 19 anni, nel 2006, tornano pubblicando con la Cherry Red Records una compilation di brani che ripercorre tutto la loro storia dal 1983 al 1987: "Plutonium" (2006). Dopo il grandissimo successo del loro primo concerto in Italia al COX18 (Milano) nel 2009, si esibiranno di nuovo in Italia, questa volta per due concerti, a Milano e a Roma. Line-up attuale: Harry Stafford (chitarra, voce); Vince Hunt (basso); Rob Haynes (batteria).
Dopo 20 anni di concerti dentro i confini britannici, gli Spizzenergi nel 2008 sono, con grande successo, sbarcati in Italia, a Milano. per partecipare alla prima edizione del Rotten City Festival. Ecco Spizz, leader della band, approdare nuovamente a Milano dove verrà accompagnato da cari vecchi amici (Spizzitalia band) in quello che si prevede un nuovo show esplosivo. Spizz è uno degli artisti più poliedrici del panorama musicale britannico. Durante la sua carriera si è esibito cambiando il nome tredici volte e line-up sedici volte, se non di più. Il punto più alto della sua carriera lo raggiunse nel 1979 con il brano "Where's Captain Kirk?" che rimase al primo posto nella classifica indie per otto settimane consecutive, vendendo più di 80 mila copie e che fu interpretato da artisti come Frank Zappa e Paul Weller.
